Our Story

Outdoors by Design’s greatest asset has always been our team, and by joining forces with a superior nursery crew, we have created an even stronger company. Outdoors by Design continues our legacy of high-quality trees and service that you can rely on.

Outdoors by Design, Inc., was established in 2008 by Travis and Laree Liermann. In January 2022, Outdoors by Design purchased our nursery. The tree nursery has been a natural addition to the landscaping and lawn maintenance business.

In their free time, the Liermann family enjoys spending time outdoors. Hunting occupies Travis and Stryder, and Laree and Reece can be found riding and competing with their horses. At the end of the day, you will find the Liermanns enjoying time together at home in North Idaho.

Travis and Laree Liermann were both born in Boundary County and raised to value hometown Idaho values, work ethic and integrity.
